Burberry introduces Velvet & Lace, the Spring/Summer 2016 Runway Make-up Look. Watch Burberry Make-up Artistic Consultant Wendy Rowe and learn how to create a bold matte lip using Lip Velvet in Oxblood, the statement lip worn to contrast the delicate lace seen on the runway.
The look is complemented with nude polished skin using Fresh Glow Foundation and Face Contour, and completed with high-gloss white nails. Follow the steps below to recreate the runway look at home: SKIN Begin with Face Contour and create a slight shadow in your eye socket line and just underneath the lash line. Blend with your fingertips. Apply Face Contour along the cheekbones to define and down the nose to slim. Finish by taking it along the jawline. Next, use Sheer Concealer to add highlights to the cheekbones, nose and Cupid’s bow. It has a strong pigment but the sheer, creamy texture makes it undetectable.
Use Sheer Concealer in shade Rosy Beige to eradicate blue tones and conceal dark circles around the eyes. Apply Fresh Glow Foundation for a dewy glow with natural, medium coverage. Use Nude Powder to set the foundation, creating a sheer and invisible ‘no-powder’ finish. EYES Using Effortless Eyebrow Definer in Ash Brown, brush the brows up and then fill in any holes to create a fuller brow. Next, apply Effortless Kohl Eyeliner in Stone along the waterline to open the eyes slightly. LIPS Apply Lip Definer in Oxblood along the edges of the lips, adding extra to the outer corners for more depth.
Take Lip Velvet in Oxblood and apply straight from the lipstick bullet for full coverage. Finish by using Lip Definer in Oxblood to neaten the colour at the edges.
